About Us

American Hearth Supply exists because of a simple conviction: a real wood-fired oven belongs in more backyards than just the ones owned by restaurants and the ultra-wealthy.

If you've ever eaten a pizza pulled straight from a live wood fire — the crust blistered and leopard-spotted, the whole thing cooked in about ninety seconds — you understand. It isn't just food. It's the smell of the fire, the sound of the wood settling, the way everybody drifts toward the flame and stays there. A gas grill can't do that. Your indoor oven, which tops out around 500°F, physically cannot do that. Only real fire does.

We built this company to put that experience in reach of regular people.

Why we started

Shopping for a wood-fired oven online is frustrating, and we know because we've done it. You land on a giant marketplace where a $3,000 oven sits next to phone cases, sold by someone who has never fired one and can't tell you the difference between a portable and a built-in kit. Or you find a boutique site with beautiful photos, no phone number, and no idea whether the thing will even fit your patio.

Nobody explains clearances. Nobody warns you that freight delivery is different from a UPS package. Nobody tells you honestly that the oven you're about to buy might be the wrong size for how you actually cook.

We started American Hearth Supply to be the opposite of that: a specialist, not a marketplace. A real business with a real person who picks up the phone and gives you a straight answer — even when the straight answer is that it's more oven than you need.

Who we are

American Hearth Supply LLC is a small, independent business based in Albion, Pennsylvania, just outside Erie. We're not a giant retailer and we're not a faceless dropshipper. We're a focused team that knows one category extremely well: wood-fired cooking.

Being small is the point. It means when you call, you reach someone who actually knows the product line, has walked customers through real installations, and will remember your project the next time you call. It means we can spend twenty minutes on the phone helping you size an oven for a patio we'll never see, because that's how we'd want to be treated.

Authorized WPPO dealer — and why that matters

We are a fully authorized dealer of WPPO wood-fired pizza ovens. That's a distinction worth understanding, because it protects you.

An authorized dealer has a direct relationship with the manufacturer. Every oven we sell is brand new, genuine, and covered by WPPO's full factory warranty. It is never gray-market inventory, never a refurbished return being passed off as new, never a lookalike from an overseas seller.

If something goes wrong — a part fails, a shipment gets damaged — you have a real manufacturer warranty and a real dealer standing behind it. When you're spending thousands of dollars on something that will live in your yard for the next twenty years, that protection is worth more than saving fifty dollars from an unauthorized seller.

What we sell

We carry the full WPPO lineup, from entry-level portables to flagship built-in kits, because different people need genuinely different ovens:

  • Portable ovens — the Le Peppe and Lil Luigi. Small enough for a balcony or the back of your car, but real ovens that hit 950°F and cook a true Neapolitan pizza in ninety seconds. The best way to find out whether wood-fired cooking is for you.
  • Freestanding Karma ovens — 25, 32, and 42 inch. Commercial-grade 304 stainless steel, double-walled fire-blanket insulation, cordierite stone floors. These are permanent backyard ovens that cook for a family or a crowd and last for decades.
  • Tuscany built-in kits — the AD70, AD100, and AD120. Designed to be set permanently into an outdoor kitchen so the oven becomes part of the house. These are the centerpiece of a serious outdoor build.

Every one of them is built to the same standard: real materials, real heat, built to be used for years rather than replaced every couple of seasons.

How we do business

Honest guidance first

We would rather help you buy the oven you'll actually love — even if it's a cheaper one — than push you into the wrong purchase for a bigger sale. If you call us and describe your space and how you cook, and the honest answer is the smaller model, that's what we'll tell you. A customer who's happy in five years is worth more to us than a slightly larger order today.

Real expertise, freely given

Sizing, clearance requirements, chimney heights, permit questions, built-in installation planning — we know this material and we'll share it before you spend a dollar. We've helped customers work through building-department reviews and gotten them the official manufacturer clearance specifications their inspector needed. That help costs you nothing.

Freight handled properly

These ovens ship on freight trucks, not parcel carriers, and that trips people up. Shipping is free and insured to the lower 48, delivered to your curb on a liftgate. We'll explain exactly how the delivery appointment works, what to inspect before you sign, and what to do in the rare case something arrives damaged. No surprises.

A real person on the phone

Call or text (814) 440-4817 and you'll reach an actual human who knows these ovens. Not a chatbot, not an offshore call center, not a contact form that disappears into a void. Before the sale, during the build, after delivery — we're the same phone number.

Who we work with

We serve homeowners planning a backyard they'll actually use, families who've decided that Friday night pizza should be an event, and people who simply love to cook over fire.

We also work directly with the trade. Hardscape contractors, landscape architects, pool builders, and outdoor kitchen specialists partner with us through our Contractor Partner Program — we supply the oven and handle the freight, they build the space, and they earn on every referral with no inventory risk. If you're building outdoor living spaces for clients, a wood-fired oven is the upgrade that makes a project memorable.

What we're building

We're growing deliberately — expanding into outdoor kitchen packages, accessories, and additional premium brands — but the standard stays the same. Sell genuine products. Tell the truth about them. Answer the phone. Take care of people after the sale, not just before it.

Wood-fired cooking has been around for thousands of years for a reason. It makes better food, and it brings people together in a way almost nothing else does. If you want that in your own backyard, we'd genuinely love to help you get there.
