Shipping policy
At American Hearth Supply, we want you to know exactly what to expect from the moment you place your order to the day your oven arrives at your door. Because we sell large, heavy wood-fired ovens, most orders ship by freight rather than standard parcel carriers, and the process works a little differently than ordering a small package. This policy explains it in full. We are an authorized reseller for WPPO LLC, and our shipping practices are designed to get your genuine, factory-new oven to you safely and on time.
Free Shipping to the Lower 48
We offer free, fully insured shipping on every oven order delivered within the 48 contiguous United States. There are no hidden freight surcharges, liftgate fees, or fuel fees added at checkout — the price you see is the price you pay. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and international destinations is not included in our standard free-shipping offer; if you are located outside the lower 48, please call or text us at (814) 440-4817 before ordering so we can arrange a custom freight quote.
Order Processing
Most orders are processed and prepared for shipment within 1 to 3 business days of being placed. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. holidays. During busy seasons or promotional periods, processing may take slightly longer, and we will notify you if that is the case. Once your order leaves the warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking details.
Estimated Transit Times
After processing, most ovens arrive within approximately 7 to 17 business days, depending on your location and the carrier's schedule. Smaller accessories often arrive faster. These windows are good-faith estimates rather than guarantees, as final delivery timing depends on the freight carrier serving your area. If you need your oven by a specific date, contact us before ordering and we will do our best to give you a realistic timeline for your address.
How Freight Delivery Works
Because ovens are large and heavy, they ship on an LTL (less-than-truckload) freight truck, crated on a pallet, rather than by UPS or FedEx. This is different from a normal parcel delivery in a few important ways. The freight carrier will contact you by phone to schedule a delivery appointment, so please provide a phone number you can be reached at during business hours. Delivery is curbside with a liftgate: the driver lowers the crated oven from the truck to the ground at the end of your driveway or curb. Freight drivers are not required to move the oven into your garage, backyard, or home, so please plan to have help available to move it to its final location.
Inspecting Your Delivery (Important)
Freight damage is rare, but please inspect your shipment carefully before you sign for it. While the driver is present, look over the crate and packaging for any visible damage such as crushed corners, holes, or signs of impact. If you see any damage, note it clearly on the delivery receipt before signing and take photos of the crate and the affected areas. If damage looks significant, you may refuse the shipment. Signing the delivery receipt as "clean" or "received in good condition" without noting visible damage can make a freight claim much harder to resolve, so this two-minute inspection genuinely protects you.
Reporting Damage or Missing Items
If your oven arrives damaged, or if any part of your order is missing, contact us right away at (814) 440-4817 or by email, ideally within 48 hours of delivery. Send us your order number along with the photos you took at delivery, and we will work directly with you and the carrier to repair, replace, or otherwise make it right. Because every oven ships fully insured, you are protected against transit damage when it is documented properly.
Tracking Your Order
Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow its progress. For freight shipments, tracking updates less frequently than a small parcel and the carrier's delivery-appointment call is your best signal that your oven is close. You can also reach us anytime for a status update and we will look it up for you.
Correct Shipping Address
Please double-check that your shipping address and phone number are correct at checkout. We are not able to redirect a freight shipment once it is in transit, and address changes or corrections may incur additional carrier fees. If you notice a mistake, contact us as soon as possible and we will help if the order has not yet shipped.
Questions Before You Order?
We would rather answer your shipping and freight questions up front than have you guess. Call or text us at (814) 440-4817 and a real person will walk you through delivery for your specific address and oven. American Hearth Supply LLC is an authorized WPPO dealer based in Albion, Pennsylvania.
