Outdoor pizza ovens range from under $300 to well over $3,000, and the gap is not just branding. Size, build style, fuel type, and how the oven is installed all move the price. This guide walks through the real tiers so you can pick a budget before you start comparing models. Prices below are what we list at American Hearth Supply as of October 2026 and can change.
Tier 1: Portable ovens ($299 to about $400)
Portable wood-fired ovens are the entry point. The WPPO Le Peppe is $299 and the WPPO Lil Luigi is $399. They are small, move easily, and make one pizza at a time. If you are not sure you will use an oven often, this tier lets you find out cheaply. See the full portable ovens collection or our starter ovens under $500.
Tier 2: Mid-size wood-fired ovens ($1,500 to $2,600)
This is where most families land. The WPPO Karma 25 is $1,529 and the WPPO Karma 32 is $2,559. You get a larger cooking floor, so you can cook more than one pizza at a time or roast a whole dish between pizzas. The Bull Dual Fuel Countertop Pizza Oven at $1,749 sits here too and runs on gas or wood, which is useful if you want weeknight convenience and weekend wood fire in the same oven.
Tier 3: Large and DIY-kit ovens ($2,000 to $3,700)
Entertainers and anyone building an outdoor kitchen look here. The Tuscany AD70 kit is $1,999, the AD100 kit is $2,749, and the AD120 kit is $3,349. At the top of our current range, the WPPO Karma 42 is $3,645. Browse them together in outdoor pizza ovens.
Costs people forget
- Freight. Heavier ovens ship by freight. Read how freight shipping works before you order so delivery day is not a surprise.
- Base or stand. A countertop or built-in oven still needs somewhere to sit. Check our carts and stands.
- Tools. A peel and cutter are not optional. A peel set is $109.99 and a cutter is $17.99.
- Cover. A fitted oven cover protects your investment between cooks.
- Fuel and prep. Wood-fired ovens need dry wood and a short learning curve.
How to choose your tier
Start with how many people you cook for. If it is usually two to four people and you want to try wood fire, a portable or a Karma 25 is plenty. If you host often, step up in size rather than paying for features you will not use. If an outdoor kitchen is the plan, price the oven as part of the whole build, because the island, grill, and oven together are the real budget. See our outdoor kitchen cost planning guide.
