Key Features

The Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat Gas is the flagship of outdoor heating — the heater specified into high-end restaurants, hotels, and residential outdoor rooms where the heat has to work and the fixture has to look like it belongs. Ceramic-glass fronted, directional, and engineered to hold its heat in wind that would defeat a patio umbrella heater.

Why Gas Over Electric

Gas delivers the highest heat output Bromic makes, and it doesn't need an electrician or a dedicated circuit — it needs a gas line or a tank. For large open patios, poolside areas, and covered spaces with real air movement, gas is the answer.

Choosing Your Size

  • Platinum 500 — the larger output. Big patios, high ceilings, exposed areas, or when one heater has to cover a wide zone.
  • Platinum 300 — for smaller areas, tighter mounting spacing, or multi-heater installs where you're covering a long space with several units.

Both available in natural gas or liquid propane. Select your configuration above.

Built for Permanent Installation

The Platinum is designed to be mounted and left — wall, ceiling, or pole — with a weather-rated build meant for year-round exposure. Heat deflectors, ceiling pole mounts, and mounting hardware are available; call us and we'll spec the full install list so nothing is missing on installation day.

Planning a Multi-Heater Layout?

Coverage on outdoor heating depends on ceiling height, wind exposure, and how open the space is — it's the kind of thing that goes wrong when it's guessed. Send us your dimensions and we'll tell you how many units and what size, honestly.

Sizing Help

Coverage, mounting height, gas vs. electric and how many heaters you need: read the Bromic patio heater buying guide. Heating a restaurant or commercial patio? Restaurant patio heater guide. Compare every model in Bromic patio heaters.

Is this the right heater for your space?

Written from Bromic Heating's installation manual. Not sure? Send us the space and we'll confirm the count and the size.

Who it's for

Bromic's flagship gas heater — the one specified into restaurant and hotel terraces, and into residential outdoor rooms, covered patios and pool decks where the heat has to work in open air. Outdoor use only: open or semi-enclosed spaces with natural ventilation (Bromic's rule of thumb is at least 25% of the wall area open). Pick the 500 for larger or more exposed zones and higher mounting; the 300 for tighter spacing or multi-heater runs along a long space.

Mounting & placement

Wall or ceiling. Mount at least 96″ (8 ft) from the floor to the underside; keep 3 ft above and 3 ft to the sides clear of combustibles, or 14″ above with the Bromic heat shield. Ceiling mounting needs a Bromic ceiling pole (9.69″–41.18″) — put poles, deflector and heat shield on the quote so nothing is missing on install day. Plan on a covered or sheltered position; rated for wind up to 12 mph.

Who installs it

Gas fitter required. Bromic's manual calls for installation by an authorized, qualified service person to local codes and ANSI Z223.1 / NFPA 54. The job needs a 1/2″ NPT gas connection (natural gas or propane) and a 110 V outlet for the ignition and controls.

Before you order

Questions people ask about this kind of product

Patio heaters

Gas or electric patio heater?

Gas (natural gas or propane) gives the most heat per unit and suits open or partly covered areas with a gas line or tank. Electric is cleaner, quieter and the answer for covered patios, pergolas and anywhere gas isn't practical — but it needs the right circuit, so we confirm voltage and wattage before you order.

Can I use these in a restaurant or commercial patio?

Yes — Bromic's Platinum, Tungsten and Eclipse lines are used in commercial hospitality. Tell us the area you're heating and how it's covered and we'll size it; trade pricing is available for designers and contractors.

Do you install heaters?

No. Gas heaters need a licensed installer and electric heaters need an electrician for hardwired models. We supply the manufacturer's installation manual and mounting/clearance requirements.

Shipping & delivery

Is freight really free? Any liftgate or fuel fees?

Free to the 48 contiguous states, liftgate included, no surcharges at checkout. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and international are quote-only — call before ordering.

How long until it arrives?

In-stock items typically leave the warehouse within 2–4 business days. Parcel items (accessories, some mantels and electric units) then take about 5–10 business days by UPS/FedEx; freight items usually arrive within 1–2 weeks of shipping depending on your location. Each product page shows the ships-in window; items with a longer manufacturer lead time say so on the page.

Will the freight carrier call me? What if I'm not home?

Yes — freight is delivered by appointment. The carrier calls the number on your order to book a window. Delivery is curbside on a liftgate; the driver is not required to bring it inside, so plan to have a hand available.

What happens if it arrives damaged?

Every order ships insured. Look the crate over before you sign, write any damage on the delivery receipt (even "box damaged"), take a couple of photos, and call or text us. We file the claim with the carrier and coordinate replacement parts or a replacement unit with the manufacturer. For concealed damage found after unboxing, contact us within 5 business days of delivery.

Do you deliver to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada?

By quote only. Call (814) 440-4817 with the product and address and we'll get a real freight cost before you commit.

Returns, cancellations & warranty

Can I return it?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, if it's unused, unassembled and in the original packaging. Approved returns carry a 20% restocking fee and the customer covers return freight unless the return is due to our error or a defect — on a large freight item that is real money, which is exactly why we offer a free recommendation before you order. Special-order and custom-finish items can't be returned. Full terms: Refund policy.

What if I ordered the wrong size or fuel type?

Call the moment you notice. Orders can be cancelled or corrected by phone within 24 hours (see our cancellation policy), and before shipment we can usually fix a size or fuel selection at no cost. After it ships, the return terms above apply — so send us your dimensions first and let us confirm the configuration.

How does the warranty work if something fails?

You're covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty (the terms are on each product page, sourced from the manufacturer's own document). As your authorized dealer, we register it and handle any claim with the factory on your behalf — you call us, not a warranty hotline.

About the company

I've never heard of American Hearth Supply. Who are you?

A small, owner-run authorized dealer — American Hearth Supply LLC, Albion, Pennsylvania (just outside Erie). We started as a WPPO wood-fired oven specialist and now carry fireplaces, patio heaters, grills and outdoor kitchens from the manufacturers we're authorized for. When you call (814) 440-4817 you reach the owner, not a call center.

Why shouldn't I just buy directly from the manufacturer?

Most of these manufacturers don't sell to homeowners — they sell through authorized dealers, and the warranty is honored through the dealer you bought from. Buying here gets you the same factory-new unit at the manufacturer's published pricing, plus a person who checks the fit, books the freight and handles the warranty paperwork with the factory.

Is this legitimate? How do I know the product is genuine?

We're an authorized dealer for every brand on the site, and every unit ships factory-new from the manufacturer's distribution network — never gray-market, never returned stock. You can verify the phone number above, our Pennsylvania LLC, and the manufacturer documents linked on each product page. Checkout is Shopify's own, so your payment details never touch our servers.

Why don't I see hundreds of reviews?

Because we're new and we won't fake them. Reviews on this site are collected through Judge.me from real orders only, and a product shows a rating only when real customers have left one. Until then, test us the way that matters: call with a hard question and see what kind of answer you get.

Will someone actually help me after I've paid?

Yes — the same person. Delivery scheduling, a question for your installer, a warranty registration or claim: all of it goes through (814) 440-4817 or our email, Mon–Fri 9 AM–8 PM ET. We answer texts outside those hours when we can.

Price & payment

Can I get it cheaper somewhere else?

Manufacturers set minimum advertised pricing, so authorized dealers advertise the same numbers. If you find this exact model advertised lower by another authorized dealer, send us the link and we'll match it. An unauthorized seller offering it far below everyone else is the one to be careful of — that's where warranty problems come from.

Is the sale real?

When a sale is on, the code and the end date are shown on the page and the discount is applied in Shopify's checkout. When the date passes, the sale line disappears. We don't run rolling "ends today" timers.

Can I finance it?

Monthly payments through Shop Pay Installments are offered at checkout on eligible orders, subject to approval; the estimated monthly figure on the product page comes from Shop Pay, not from us. Checking your options is a soft inquiry.

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax is collected on orders shipping to Pennsylvania. Other states are not currently taxed at checkout.

Building your space? Not sure where to start?

Tell us what you're building. We'll recommend the right setup before you spend a dollar.

Not sure which size, fuel type or configuration is right? Send us your space, rough measurements and what you're trying to create. You get a straight recommendation and a written quote within one business day.

No pressure. No sales pitch. If the honest answer is the smaller model — or a different one — that's the answer you'll get.
