About this model
The Vector™ is Napoleon's linear direct vent gas fireplace — a wide, low ribbon of real flame. Maximum input runs from 30,000 to 48,000 BTU across the four sizes.
Single-Sided or See-Through
Every size comes both ways. Single-sided for a standard wall. See-through for an interior wall or room divider, with flame visible from both rooms.
Pricing
| Model | Single-Sided | See-Through |
|---|---|---|
| Vector 38 | $5,039 | $6,179 |
| Vector 50 | $5,729 | $7,439 |
| Vector 62 | $9,169 | $10,889 |
| Vector 74 | $11,459 | $13,189 |
Specifications
| Model | Max. input (BTU) | Viewing Area | Framing (W × D) | Min. enclosure / ceiling height |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vector 38 | 30,000 | 40.75" × 18.62" | 53.81" × 20.13" | 73" |
| Vector 50 | 36,000 | 52.75" × 18.62" | 65.81" × 20.13" | 73" |
| Vector 62 | 42,000 | 64.75" × 18.62" | 77.81" × 20.13" | 91" |
| Vector 74 | 48,000 | 76.75" × 18.62" | 89.81" × 20.13" | 91" |
Minimum enclosure / ceiling height is measured from the bottom of the unit (installation manual W415-2034).
See-through models are shallower — 16.19" framing depth instead of 20.13", since there's no back wall. Actual unit depth is 16.19" versus 19.89" single-sided.

Choosing Your Media
A log set or media is required, and it changes the whole look. Options include Oak and Birch High Definition logs, Beach logs, Contemporary logs, Woodland media, wrought iron globes, mineral rock, and glass media in clear, topaz and Shore Fire.
The same fireplace reads rustic with birch logs or fully modern with clear glass beads and the LEDs on. Call and we'll walk through it.
Optional Heat Management
LHAD, DHC, DHCP and DHM are available. Dynamic Heat Control (DHCL1 for the Vector 38 and 50, DHCL2 for the 62 and 74) is the one to know about if you're mounting a TV above. With DHC installed, Napoleon's Dynamic Heat Control manual (W415-2373) allows electronics, picture frames and other wall-mounted objects from 6" above the finishing flange, and 6" below the DHC air outlet opening. It uses no fans or ducts, but it needs a ventilated enclosure with a minimum-size air outlet opening, and it must be installed with the fireplace, before the venting and gas.
Vector vs. Elevation X
The Elevation X is a traditional deep-set firebox — taller, squarer, with decorative brick panels. The Vector is linear: wide and low, reflective panels, LED accent lighting. Traditional room → Elevation X. Contemporary feature wall → Vector.
Venting
Direct vent means sealed combustion — air from outside, exhaust back outside. You'll need a licensed gas professional and a vent path. Venting isn't included; if your installer isn't sourcing it, we can quote flex pipe as a separate order.

Before You Order
| Framing (W × D) | Single-sided — LV38-1: 53 13/16" × 20 1/8" · LV50-2: 65 13/16" × 20 1/8" · LV62: 77 13/16" × 20 1/8" · LV74: 89 13/16" × 20 1/8" See-through — same widths × 16 3/16" deep Napoleon publishes no separate rough-opening height for the Vector; the enclosure height below is the height figure. |
| Minimum enclosure / ceiling height (from the bottom of the unit) | LV38-1 and LV50-2: 73" · LV62 and LV74: 91". Napoleon notes it may be higher depending on the venting configuration. The unit does not need to be raised off the floor. |
| Framing order | Napoleon says to install the firestop before framing. On a see-through it will not fit between the studs afterward. |
| Vent shields | Napoleon's manual calls for two vent shields on a see-through installation, one per side. The manual does not state whether both ship with the unit — confirm before framing. |
| Combustible mantel clearance | Varies with mantel depth — see the mantel clearance chart on page 2 of the specification sheet for your size |
| Vent clearance to combustibles | Vertical runs: 1" all around. Horizontal runs: 3" on top, 2" sides and bottom, outside the enclosure; 6" on top inside the enclosure |
| Venting — natural gas models | 5"/8" direct vent. Wall (horizontal) termination: single-sided, all sizes — 30" minimum vertical rise above the air collar, with up to 18" of horizontal run at that minimum. See-through — LV38N2-1: 30" rise, up to 40" horizontal · LV50N2-2: 30" rise, up to 46 1/2" · LV62N2: 48" rise, up to 52 1/2" · LV74N2: 48" rise, up to 58 1/2". Roof (vertical) termination: 6 ft minimum vertical rise. Total vertical plus horizontal (V + H): 40 ft maximum; horizontal (H): 20 ft maximum. Longer runs require a power vent. See the venting charts in the installation manual for the full range. |
| Venting — propane models | Propane uses its own charts, with tighter horizontal limits. LV38: 30" minimum vertical rise for a wall termination, horizontal (H) no more than 10 ft. LV50 and LV62: 48" minimum rise, H no more than 4 3/8 ft (52 1/2"). LV74: 58" minimum rise, H no more than 4 3/8 ft. Some low-rise configurations are marked vertical termination only. Straight vertical runs: 6 ft minimum, 40 ft maximum. V + H: 40 ft maximum. Plan a propane install from the propane pages of the manual, not the natural gas figures. |
| Electrical | Hardwired |
| Gas supply pressure | Natural gas: 4.5" minimum, 7" maximum w.c. · Propane: 11" minimum, 13" maximum w.c. |
| Fuel | Listed as natural gas models (LV38N-1, LV50N-2, LV62N, LV74N and the see-through N2 models). Napoleon states the appliance is field convertible between natural gas and propane with a certified kit through an authorized dealer — call and we will confirm the propane model or conversion kit for your size. |
| Installation | Napoleon's warranty requires installation by a licensed, authorized installer. American Hearth Supply supplies equipment only — we do not install. |

Before you order
Questions people ask about this kind of product
Will this fit my wall?
The dimensions on the page are the appliance body; framing and rough-opening sizes are different numbers and come from the manufacturer's installation manual linked on the page. Call or text (814) 440-4817 with your wall width and height and we'll confirm the right size before you order.
Do I need a professional to install it?
Gas appliances: yes, a licensed gas installer, and most jurisdictions require a permit and inspection. Electric fireplaces are simpler but hardwired models need an electrician. We don't install — we supply the manufacturer's installation manual and clearance specs so your installer and inspector have what they need.
What's included, and what do I need to add?
Each product page lists what ships in the box. Log sets, glass media, decorative fronts, mantels and venting kits are usually separate items — tell us what look you want and we'll put the complete build on one quote so it ships together where possible.
Is freight included, and how long until it arrives?
Freight is included to the 48 contiguous states, with liftgate delivery and no surcharges at checkout. Your order typically ships in 1-3 business days, and most deliveries arrive in 1-2 weeks from your order. We provide tracking once it ships, and the carrier calls to schedule delivery. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and international are quote-only — call before ordering.
What happens if it arrives damaged?
Look the crate over before you sign, write any damage on the delivery receipt (even "box damaged"), take a couple of photos, and contact us right away. For damage you find after unboxing, contact us as soon as you see it. We'll take it up with the distributor and manufacturer.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, if it's unused, unassembled and in the original packaging. Approved returns carry a 20% restocking fee and the customer covers return freight unless the return is due to our error or a defect — on a large freight item that is real money, which is exactly why we check the size and setup with you before you order. Special-order and custom-finish items can't be returned. Full terms: Refund policy.
